PMG Career Catalyst Mentorship Program
Application Guidelines
The PMG Career Catalyst Mentorship Program is designed to support and nurture emerging talent, guiding new professionals towards success. This six-month program is tailored for recent post-secondary graduates aiming to kickstart their careers in Operations, Customer Experience, People and Organizations, and Marketing.
Our Mentorship Program
Our unique partnership approach pairs successful applicants with seasoned executives, forming a mentorship bond that provides personalized mentorship, career planning assistance, and real-world training tailored to the mentees’ aspirations and industry interests.
Elegibility:
1 – Must be a recent graduate of an accredited post-secondary institution in a field related to one of PMG’s Core Service offerings:
- Operations;
- People and Organizations;
- Mergers and Acquisitions;
- Customer Experience; or
- Branding and Marketing.
Or Related to One of PMG’s Primary Industries: - Food Service, Hospitality, Tourism, or Hotel;
- Technology, SaaS, or Software;
- Finance, Financial Services, or Private Equity;
- Professional Services, Consulting, Corporate Services, or Managed Services; or
- Education, Governance, or Public Enterprise.
2 – Applicants must demonstrate a well-rounded combination of the following qualifications and experiences to be considered for the PMG Career Catalyst Mentorship Program:
Academic Performance
GPA: Maintain a strong academic record with a competitive Grade Point Average.
Coursework: Completion of relevant and rigorous coursework that aligns with PMG’s core service offerings or primary industries.
Projects: Active participation in academic projects that showcase practical application of learned theories and contribute to the applicant’s expertise in their field of study.Extracurricular Activities
Involvement: Active engagement in extracurricular activities such as student organizations, clubs, sports teams, or community service groups.
Leadership Positions: Preferably, holding leadership roles within these activities, demonstrating the ability to manage, lead, and inspire peers.Work Experience
Internships: Participation in internships that provide hands-on experience and exposure to professional environments related to PMG’s services or industries.
Corporate Education Experiences: Involvement in cooperative education programs or corporate training initiatives that enhance practical skills and industry knowledge.
Professional Experience: Relevant work experience, including part-time jobs, freelance work, or entrepreneurial ventures that contribute to the applicant’s professional growth and development.
Relevant Experience: Any pertinent work experience that supports the applicant’s career goals and development. This includes part-time employment, freelance projects, and entrepreneurial activities.Demonstrated Leadership
Leadership Abilities: Clear evidence of leadership skills through formal roles in organizations or informal settings where the applicant has taken initiative.
Impact and Influence: Specific examples of how the applicant’s leadership has positively impacted their organization, team, or community, showcasing their ability to drive change and achieve results.
The following individuals are not eligible for this program:
1- Individuals who are not graduates of an accredited post-secondary institution within the preceding 12 months.
2 -Individuals whose field of study does not align with PMG’s Core Service offerings or primary industries.
3 – Current employees, contractors, or the direct families of employees or contractors if the familial relationship has not been disclosed in the application.
4 – Individuals who have already completed a mentorship or internship program with PMG.Evaluation Criteria
PMG evaluates applications based on:
1 – Cumulative Applicant Profile: Consideration of academic performance, extracurricular activities, work experience, and demonstrated leadership history.
2 – Quality of Application Materials: Assessment of resumes, cover letters, personal statements, and any other materials and documentation included.
3 – Letters of Recommendation: Evaluation of the quality and nature of any submitted letters of recommendation or support.
4 – Interview Performance: Assessment of candidate performance during any phone screenings or interviews conducted.
